about ulf

My interest for photography started as early as 12 years of age. My photographic work concerns the whole range of topics from natural landscapes and wildlife to cityscapes and portraits. Because of my contribution to ecotourism in Uganda by way of increased knowledge and activities linked to Africa over the past 25 years, I became a Fellow member in the Royal Geographical Society. In 2011 I was the sole guide for BBC to make a documentary on Rwenzori Mountains National Park (5109m) in Uganda, which I have been trekking more than 15 times since 1993. I have arranged and guided countless photo trips to Africa in resent years, especially to Uganda, Rwanda and DRC to photograph the Mountain Gorillas among other primates. I am regarded as a specialist when it comes to Mountain Gorillas, Virunga- and Rwenzori Mountains.

For the time being I am the chairman of Førde photo club in Western Norway.
